Kelly A. Pratt
Licensure & Background
I am passionate about lifelong learning! I have completed specialized training in research-backed experiential methods, including AEDP, Coherence therapy, parts work/IFS. I possess three years of clinical experience serving adults from diverse backgrounds in community mental health and prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as an academic and career counselor in higher education.
I am an associate-level professional counselor registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Therapists (#R8762). Amy Foote supervises me.
Training
I have completed several intensive training sessions in the past five years with a foundational approach in AEDP, which allows the integration of somatic therapy, parts work, and depth traditions—a strategy that aligns with respect for the wisdom of both modern and historical approaches. AEDP is adaptable to your style and needs, which is a big part of effective therapy, the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for change.
Approach to Therapy
My style is relational, blending curiosity, your insights, contemplation, and occasional humor. Many clients notice meaningful shifts within a few months of working together. Sessions typically feel structured and continuous, with an approach that is flexible and creative and makes sense of your present reality as well as long-term goals.
Opportunity for Depth-Focused Psychotherapy
I draw upon depth psychology traditions and dreamwork for those seeking ongoing support and more profound shifts. You are welcome to discuss this complex and rich topic further with me.
Me, the human
I enjoy tai chi, yoga, live music, food excursions, time in nature, and animal and human friendships in my free time. Below are some of my more formal details, including education, selected training, and recent talks I’ve given.
